Welcome to Crowned Wild Africa. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website, the booking of our tours and travel packages, and the provision of our travel-related services.

Crowned Wild Africa is a locally owned Tanzanian tour operator offering wildlife safaris, Zanzibar excursions, beach holidays, cultural experiences, and tailor-made travel arrangements across Tanzania.

By using our website, submitting a booking inquiry, or confirming a reservation with us, you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

All booking requests are subject to availability and written confirmation from Crowned Wild Africa.

To arrange a booking, guests may be required to provide:

• Full names of all travelers as shown on their travel documents.
• Arrival and departure dates.
• Accommodation and transportation preferences.
• Relevant dietary, mobility, or other special requirements.
• Contact details and other information reasonably necessary to organize the trip.

A reservation is confirmed only when Crowned Wild Africa has accepted the booking and the required deposit or payment has been received, as communicated in the quotation or invoice.

All prices will be communicated in the currency stated in the quotation or invoice.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, our standard payment terms are:

• Deposit: 30% of the total booking value.
• Final balance: Payable no later than fourteen days before the start of the tour.
• Flight-related bookings: A higher deposit may be required where airlines or other suppliers require advance payment to secure seats.
• Payment processing fees: Any applicable payment-link or payment-provider fees will be disclosed before payment.

Some bookings may require different payment deadlines depending on the accommodation, airline, season, or third-party supplier. The payment schedule stated in your confirmed quotation or invoice takes precedence where it differs from these standard terms.

A booking is not guaranteed until the required payment has been received and the reservation confirmed.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by the person who made the booking.

Cancellation charges and refund eligibility will depend on the time of cancellation, the services booked, and the terms imposed by accommodation providers, airlines, park authorities, and other suppliers.

Any applicable cancellation schedule will be provided in the quotation, booking confirmation, or invoice. Non-refundable flights, permits, park fees, accommodation deposits, and other supplier charges may not be recoverable.

Where a refund is approved, deductions for non-refundable supplier charges and any applicable disclosed fees may apply.

We recommend that all travelers obtain suitable travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and other relevant risks.

Requests to change travel dates, destinations, accommodation, or other arrangements are subject to availability.

Changes may result in additional costs, including airline amendment fees, accommodation charges, transportation costs, or differences in seasonal prices.

Crowned Wild Africa will inform the guest of any additional charges before proceeding with a requested change, where reasonably possible.

Safari and travel itineraries may be affected by weather conditions, road conditions, airline schedules, park regulations, wildlife movements, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where necessary, Crowned Wild Africa may modify the order of activities, substitute services, or adjust an itinerary to protect the safety and well-being of guests.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide alternatives of comparable value where possible. Any refund or compensation will be assessed according to the confirmed booking terms, applicable supplier conditions, and relevant law.

Domestic flights, scheduled transfers, trains, ferries, and other transport services are subject to availability and the applicable provider’s conditions.

Flight schedules may change because of weather, operational requirements, or other circumstances. Flight times stated in itineraries are estimates unless confirmed by the carrier.

Guests must comply with baggage restrictions, check-in requirements, identification requirements, and safety instructions issued by transport providers.

For small aircraft, luggage allowances may be restricted by weight, dimensions, and aircraft capacity. Guests must confirm the applicable allowance before departure.

Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Animals move freely in their natural habitats, and sightings depend on season, weather, and other natural factors.

Guests must follow the instructions of their driver-guides, walking safari guides, park rangers, and other authorized personnel.

Activities such as game drives, walking safaris, boat trips, snorkeling, diving, and mountain trekking involve inherent risks. Guests must disclose relevant mobility limitations and other requirements that may affect their participation.

Crowned Wild Africa will take reasonable care in arranging activities and selecting service providers. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

Guests are responsible for:

• Carrying valid passports, visas, permits, and other required travel documents.
• Obtaining required vaccinations, health advice, and travel insurance.
• Arriving at the designated meeting point on time.
• Following safety instructions and local laws.
• Respecting wildlife, local communities, cultural traditions, and protected areas.
• Providing accurate information relevant to their booking.

Additional costs resulting from incorrect information, missed departures, or failure to comply with supplier requirements may be charged to the guest where permitted by law and disclosed in the applicable terms.

Guests are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, baggage loss, personal liability, and activities included in their itinerary.

Separate mandatory travel insurance requirements may apply depending on whether the guest enters Zanzibar or mainland Tanzania first. Please read our Travel Insurance page and verify current requirements before travel.

Travel insurance purchased by a guest does not replace any compulsory insurance required by law.

Crowned Wild Africa may take photographs and videos during tours for documentation, guest memories, service improvement, and promotional purposes.

We will not treat participation in a tour or the submission of a booking as automatic consent to use an identifiable guest’s image, voice, or video for marketing purposes.

Where a guest can be identified, we will obtain their consent before using their photograph, video, testimonial, or other identifiable content in promotional materials, subject to applicable law.

Marketing channels may include:

• Our official website and travel blog.
• Social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Digital advertisements and promotional campaigns.
• Brochures, presentations, and other marketing materials.
• Online travel listings and promotional publications.

Guests may decline marketing photography or withdraw their consent for future use by contacting safari@crownedwildafrica.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of use that occurred before withdrawal. We will take reasonable steps to stop future use and remove content under our control where practicable, subject to legal obligations and technical limitations.

We will not knowingly use images of children for marketing without the required consent from a parent or legal guardian and any additional consent required by law.

Some services may be provided by independent airlines, hotels, lodges, camps, ferry operators, insurance providers, and other third parties.

These services may be subject to separate terms and conditions. Crowned Wild Africa will exercise reasonable care when arranging third-party services but cannot guarantee that independent providers will operate without interruption.

Our responsibility for third-party services will be determined by the confirmed booking terms and applicable law.

Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding, original photographs, graphics, and other materials owned by Crowned Wild Africa may not be copied, reproduced, republished, or used commercially without prior written permission.

Third-party trademarks and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate but reserve the right to correct errors, update information, and amend content when necessary.

Guests should report concerns as soon as reasonably possible during their trip so that we have an opportunity to address them.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of Tanzania, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and other laws that apply to a particular booking.
